Höglandsleden etapp HÖ16 Lövhult - Ränneborg - En del av Smålandsleden

The 23.7 km route from Lövhult to Ränneborg in Eksjö offers a varied and scenic hike through Småland's magnificent highland nature. Lövhult, near Nässjö, offers an outdoor area with magical forests, pastures, rippling streams, exercise trails, camping, hostels and good public transport links. Here you also pass Svartåns källa, an early tributary of the 165 km long Svartån.

The trail continues through Hackareviken Nature Reserve, a grove of deciduous forest around a stream ravine, rich in lichens, mosses, birds and rare species such as the bat barbastelle and yellowhammer. The area is particularly beautiful in spring and early summer.

One of the highlights along the trail is Fiskaretorpsåsen in Skedhult, a pebble ridge that juts out like a headland into Lake Norra Vixen, with pine forest and beautiful views of the water. The hike ends at Ränneborg in Eksjö.
