Borgmästarholmen

It is not often that such wonderful nature is as easily accessible as here in Borgmästarholmens forest and beach outcrop. Old oaks and rocky areas draped with moss, rare mushrooms, prickly springflowers and a very rich birdlife - all beautifully situated by the sea within a few minutes walk from Trosa center. The area is part of the European Network for Protective Nature - Natura 2000. In order to preserve and develop the high nature values, grazing animals go to Borgmästarholmen. On the southern tip there is a bathing area that the municipality restored in 2018.
