Paddla på historiska Hjälmare kanal, Kvarnsjön-Notholmen

Hjälmare canal offers beautiful paddling in a historic environment and there are also several shelters and barbecue areas next to the canal. The canal contains nine locks distributed over five lock steps. The recommended tour starts at Kvarnsjön. From Lake Kvarnsjön, you can paddle 10 kilometers south to Hjälmaren's inlet without having to lift the canoe past any locks. You put the canoe in at the swimming area. There is also parking on site

Tip: Don't miss the spectacular Bergskanalen, which is named after the mountain men from Skinnskatteberg who in 1637 paved the way for water through the mountain.
