Beskrivelse
In Skogstorp Nature Reserve, you can experience deep, dark, moist woodland that feels straight out of a fairy tale. Ancient Scots pines growing on rocky outcrops. The reserve is rich in old trees, dead wood, fungi, lichens and mosses. Keep an eye out for wildlife – you may even be lucky enough to spot a western capercaillie.
The forest is protected for its outstanding nature conservation value. It is home to several rare and nationally threatened species of mosses, lichens and fungi. These species indicate that the forest has been allowed to develop naturally over a long period, without logging. Together with the neighbouring nature reserves of Stora Alsjön, Stora Envättern and Vattgruvsmossen, Skogstorp forms part of a large protected coniferous forest landscape.
There are no visitor facilities in Skogstorp Nature Reserve. Here you can enjoy a true sense of wilderness and explore the area at your own pace. Most of the terrain is easy to walk.

Veibeskrivelse
The nature reserve is located approximately 2 kilometres east of Gnesta, in the southwesternmost part of Södertälje Municipality. Please note that there is no designated parking area for visitors to the reserve.
From the turning area in Simonsdal, you can follow a footpath for approximately 100 metres into the nature reserve.

För att skydda Skogstorps naturreservat finns regler du måste följa.
I reservatet är det förbjudet att:
- borra, hacka, spränga, rista, gräva, måla eller på något sätt skada berg, jord eller sten
- fälla eller på annat sätt skada levande eller döda träd och buskar
- gräva upp växter som ris, örter, gräs, mossor eller lavar eller ta bort vedlevande svampar
- framföra motordrivet fordon
- tälta mer än två dygn på samma plats.
Det är tillåtet att plocka blommor, bär och svamp.
