Seat of Laxå municipality. Approximately 3500 residents.
Travel centre with trains and busses to and from Örebro, Karlstad, Stockholm and Gothenburg. Highway E20 goes through Laxå and to Örebro it takes only 30 minutes by car.
Many strong entrepreneurs. The business community is dominated by trade and tourism and advanced manufacturing industries, where much is exported.
