This is a legendary site near Angelstad Ljungby, Småland.
A woman from the farm at Skea had attended the early Christmas service at Angelstad Church. As she was on her way home, she hurried and ran as fast as she could.
A short distance from the church, she suffered a stroke and fell dead.
At the place where she fell, there is today a stone that resembles a forward‑leaning running figure. Its shape has been interpreted as a memory of the event and the story.
The legend connects the route between the church and the farm to a specific place in the landscape where the story has taken form.
Visiting this place is part of a journey through the Land of Legends in Småland (Ljungby, Alvesta and Älmhult). Stories are found throughout the landscape, about oknytt, lortaty and other supernatural beings, as well as about real people and their lives.
