Tärnörundan

A circuit round the sheltered Hällaryd archipelago with its many islands. Paddle your way through narrow channels among many lovely islands, many of them ideal for stepping ashore for a rest and/or a walk. Östra Bokö is a very popular island for kayaking and swimming in the summer. On a calm, still day, a trip all the way round Tärnö is recommended, but the outer side of the island is highly exposed to wind and waves if the weather isn’t ideal. Harö and Tärnö contain the remnants of a number of military fortifications. Tärnö also has a history as a pilot station.
