Description

Life on Väderöarna revolves around the sea. Watch seals and seabirds, fish for lobster and shellfish, and swim all year round. Hike the island, discover its fascinating history and climb the old pilot lookout. Sit on a smooth cliff and take in the ever-changing sea, then unwind in the wood-fired granite sauna or hot tub before enjoying a delicious meal in the restaurant. The menu follows the seasons and the sea, tasting even better after a day in the fresh coastal air.

Stay comfortably in the rooms above the restaurant or in one of the surrounding small cottages. Choose from a variety of room types and styles, from hotel rooms with breakfast included to hostel rooms with access to a guest kitchen. Some rooms are also pet-friendly. Wherever you sleep, you'll wake to the sound of waves on the rocks and fall asleep under glowing sunsets.

The journey to Väderöarna passes through the scenic Fjällbacka archipelago, through narrow straits and across the Väderöfjord, before reaching the small harbour on Storö. Step off the boat at the jetty, right next to the hotel, surrounded by spectacular nature.

The Väderöarna archipelago consists of 365 skerries and islands and, together with Kosterhavet National Park, forms Sweden’s most species-rich marine area. With 2,099 hours of sunshine per year, these islands offer one of Sweden’s warmest, but also windiest climates, shaping the characteristic landscape and wildlife. The hotel is located on the small island of Storsö, which is also a nature reserve, perfect for nature lovers looking for adventures both above and below the surface.

Väderöarnas Värdshus is open year-round and every season brings its own kind of magic. This is a place where you truly connect with the raw power and beauty of nature. A place to long for, and to return to.

A warm welcome to Väderöarna from the Wind family.
