Mittlandsleden Gråborg -Jordtorpsåsen

This part of the Mittlandsleden takes you between Jordtorpsåsen nature reserve and Gråborg. The route consists of different parts that are also good for hiking as circular loops.

The western part starts at the Jordtorpsåsen nature reserve and can be walked as a circular loop from the parking lot on the edge of Algutsrum. The road to the parking lot is a simple gravel road.

At the end of the reserve, you can choose between turning back towards the car park or continuing the midland trail towards Gråborg. Large parts of the route go through pasture and the parts below the ridge are slippery during certain parts of the year. Bridges take you over stone walls and spans are found on the wettest parts.

The trail is marked with orange painted posts.

On the open pasture on the ridge, there is a species-rich, dry grassland flora with species such as sweetbread, buttercup, field sedge, golden viva and sheep's fescue. Jordtorpsåsen's species-rich grassland flora in combination with sandy soil means that many insects thrive here.
