Väsman Winter Arena

Väsman Vinterarenais an association that clears and maintains ice tracks on Lake Väsman in Ludvika during the winter season. The tracks are used for ice skating, kick sledding, and winter walks.

The tracks have several starting points and are maintained at a suitable distance from the shoreline. They offer views of residential areas, summer cottages, and villages.

When snow conditions allow, cross-country ski tracks are prepared alongside the ice tracks, creating a training arena for races such asVasaloppet.

The association places benches and seating areas along the routes where visitors can rest and enjoy refreshments.

Starting points: Ludvika small boat harbour/Skuthamn, Sörvik, Brunnsvik, Norrvik, and Dröverka.

Tracks are also maintained on Lake Burens in Sörvik.

Information boards and route descriptions are available at all starting points.

Kick sleds are available to borrow.

Good parking facilities are available near Väsmanstrand.
