Säfsen Resort

Säfsen Resort is a family-friendly, high-quality ski resort offering activities all year round. The resort is located in a valley surrounded by mountains, vast forests, and numerous lakes.

Accommodation is available at the resort and the cabins and apartments are freshly renovated. Dalenbyn offers cabins designed to comfortably accommodate two families. There are also ski-in/ski-out apartments.

During the winter season, the resort offers alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and activities for younger visitors in the Children’s Ski Area and Ski School.

Alpine skiing: Säfsen offers slopes and skiing for all ages, with 19 runs and 7 lifts. The ski school provides beginner courses, advanced lessons, private coaching, and snowboarding lessons.

Children’s Ski Area is adedicated area for children, offering a magic carpet lift, a sledding hill, and a stroller parking. Nearby, there is a barbecue area with an open fire for meal breaks.

Cross-country skiing:The resort features 57 km of well-maintained cross-country trails for both classic skiing and skating. The trails pass through mountains, valleys, lakes, and waterways. Along the routes, shelters with fireplaces are available.

During the summer season, visitors can enjoy spectacular nature as well as access to hiking trails, cycling routes, and fishing opportunities. Younger guests can also visit the indoor play centre, Äventyrsladan.

Cycling:The resort offers cycling trails for endurance training, trail biking, and family rides, as well as a skills track for practice. Bicycle rentals are available on-site, including regular bikes, mountain bikes, and family solutions.

Hikingtrails for both beginners and experienced hikers are available at the resort. The area offers a “light mountain hiking” experience with striking natural scenery. All trails begin in the heart of Säfsen Resort, at the Björnen Sports Centre. Guided tours are available.

Äventyrsladan is Säfsen's indoor play centre where children and young people of all ages can play and stay active safely. For younger children there are playrooms, tunnels, and playhouses. Older children can enjoy trampolines, foam pits, and climbing walls. A simple café area nearby overlooks the play area.

Fishing: Säfsen offers access to 175 lakes and waterways, suitable for everything from sport fishing and family fishing trips to advanced fly fishing.

Rental bikes, canoes, boats and fishing equipment are available at the resort.
